My mother recounts that at the age of 5, I declared that I would be two things when I grew up: a chef and a comedian.

"Why?" she asked.

"To avoid having to study!"

More than 30 years later, I am neither a chef nor a comedian (at least by profession). I am a visual artist who, during adolescence, discovered photography while also discovering myself.

I am fortunate to be able to reminisce and be nostalgic about the romantic aroma of developing chemicals in a darkroom, buying 100m rolls of film, and reloading used cartridges to take more photos. Then, despite the resolve I had when I was 5 years old, I chose graphic design for my undergraduate degree and hopped on the digital train long before it departed.

With 15 years of experience as a headshot photographer under my belt, I deftly navigate the line between art and technique. I aspire to highlight my subject's ideal traits while honestly depicting the human qualities that make a person uniquely "them."
